Released February 2007, this is the first full length Onetwo LP. It’s called ‘Instead’, for any number of reasons, some of which are entirely understandable, and for those familiar with the respective discographies of the Onetwo members, it is a record as good and strong as any of their very impressive previous best work.

Fans of Paul Humphreys music over the years, and fans of Claudia Brücken’s voice will thrill to this intimately epic new sound, and a collection of songs that exists as a kind of soundtrack to their own experience as performers and songwriters, and as the latest installment in their exploration of romantic, melodic and absorbing experimental pop music.

Newcomers to the theatre will immediately note how contemporary the record sounds, how this sonically sensational music made by two 80s pioneers fits perfectly into the general 21st century soundscape.

Guest appearances from Depeche Mode’s Martin Gore and avant-rock legend Gary Lucas and intense versions of classic songs by Pink Floyd and Cat Power underline the discreet magnificence of the album.
