Released in February 2011 in a collaboration between Claudia’s former label ZTT and Union Square Records, ‘Combined’ serves not only as a retrospective of Claudia’s finest works, but as the title suggests, combines old and new featuring several newly penned works and unreleased recordings along with Claudia’s classics of the past.

From 1984 to present day. From the cinematic electronica of Propaganda to the dark fantasies of Act, Claudia solo, Claudia in combination with Andy Bell (Erasure), Martin L. Gore (Depeche Mode), Paul Humphreys (OMD) Andrew Poppy, Stephen Hague and Paul Rutherford (Frankie Goes to Hollywood).

‘Combined’ presents five of Claudia’s classic recordings from her days on ZTT three Propaganda hits ‘Dr. Mabuse’, ‘p:Machinery’ and ‘Duel’ and her two singles with Thomas Leer as Act, ‘Absolutely Immune’ and ‘Snobbery and Decay’; two selections from her Island Records solo album ‘Love and a Million Other Things’ – ‘Kiss like Ether’ and ‘Absolut(e)’ both produced by Pascal Gabriel; her 2005 duet with Andy Bell ‘Delicious’; and two Onetwo tracks, ‘Sequentia’, a remixed version of ‘Instead’s ‘Sequential’, and the original ‘Cloud Nine’ penned with Martin L Gore…

All are combined with four brand new works, two previously unreleased solo compositions co-written and produced by Stephen Hague, ‘Thank You’ and ‘Night School’, a duet of the David Bowie classic ‘This is not America’ with Frankie Goes to Hollywood’s Paul Rutherford, and finally Combined is complete with the beautifully reimagined ‘In Dreams’, Roy Orbison’s Blue Velvet soundtrack gem in collaboration with Andrew Poppy.

Record Collector: ‘…one of the most compelling résumés in electronic pop music … What’s impressive is how constantly compelling her work has been’

This 15 track luxury packaged album is a must for all Claudia Brücken’s fans…
